Job summary

ACS Consultancy Services in Menands, NY is seeking a Senior Java full stack Developer to lead complex software initiatives and guide development teams through analysis, design, and implementation.

You will work with Java frameworks including Spring Boot and Java EE, develop SPA front-ends with Angular/TypeScript, design REST APIs, and ensure code quality through CI/CD practices and robust testing.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Computer Science, MIS, or equivalent from an accredited institution.
• Experience with all facets of the software development process: research, design, programming, testing, and implementation.
• Experience with Java frameworks and technologies, including Spring Boot and Java EE (Servlet, JPA, etc.).
• Experience with relational database platforms and technologies, such as Oracle SQL and PostgreSQL.

Responsibilities

• Direct a development team to analyze, design, and program complex projects.
• Coordinate activities across multiple aspects of projects while assuring quality control and providing technical leadership to project teams.
• Interface with business owners and project management staff.
• Review business requirements documentation with project teams to clarify technical design.
• Oversee systems and program design to meet highly complex business needs.
• Prepare detailed technical specifications from which programs are developed.
• Create appropriate documentation, including program code and technical documentation.
• Prepare development time estimates and justifications for assigned tasks and provide recommendations to project managers.
• Coordinate development activities and design testing plans.
• Assure quality control and effective change control.
• Provide technical leadership to project teams.
• Consult with software development teams on coding, testing, debugging, implementation, and documentation of highly complex programs.
• Develop complex test plans to verify program logic.

• Support project personnel in resolving complex program problems.
• Serve as technical project lead, providing leadership and work guidance to less experienced technical personnel.
• Identify, track, and resolve issues.

Mandatory Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Computer Science, MIS, or equivalent from an accredited institution. A copy of the degree must be submitted with the Candidate Proposal Response.
• Experience with all facets of the software development process, including research, design, programming, testing, and implementation of computer software.
• Experience with Java frameworks and technologies, including Spring Boot and Java EE (Servlet, JPA, etc.).
• Experience with relational database platforms and technologies, such as Oracle SQL and PostgreSQL.
• Candidate must be legally authorized to work in the United States.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience in the design, implementation, and deployment of Single Page Web Applications, preferably using Angular and TypeScript.
• Experience with SPA fundamental concepts such as component-based architecture, dynamic rendering, and asynchronous programming.
• Experience in REST API design and implementation, with strong knowledge of API security, authentication, and authorization.
• Experience with Git version control operations and branching strategies.
• Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and automation technologies.
