Job summary

Greycell Labs Inc. is seeking an on-site Java Developer in Albany, NY for a 12-month engagement. The role requires extensive experience with Java, Spring Boot, Angular, TypeScript, REST APIs, and CI/CD, along with strong database skills in Oracle SQL and PostgreSQL.

You will contribute to the full software development lifecycle, including design, development, testing and deployment, working in a structured environment that emphasizes code quality and security.

Qualifications

• The candidate must have a bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Computer Science, MIS or equivalent from an accredited institution.
• 6+ years of experience across the software development lifecycle (research, design, programming, testing and implementation).
• 6+ years’ experience with Java frameworks and technology (Spring Boot, Java EE).
• 6+ years’ experience with relational databases (Oracle SQL, PostgreSQL).
• 6+ years’ experience in designing and deploying SPA using Angular and TypeScript.
• 6+ years’ experience with SPA concepts (component-based architecture, dynamic rendering, asynchronous programming).
• 6+ years’ experience in REST API design with security, authentication and authorization.
• 6+ years’ experience with Git version control and branching strategies.
• Familiar with CI/CD pipelines and automation.

Responsibilities

• Develop, design, test, and implement software across the full lifecycle.
• Work with Java frameworks and technologies (Spring Boot, Java EE).
• Design and optimize relational databases (Oracle SQL, PostgreSQL).
• Build SPA front-ends using Angular and TypeScript.
• Design and implement REST APIs with proper security measures.
• Maintain and use Git for version control and branching strategies.
• Familiarize and contribute to CI/CD pipelines and automation.

Job Description

• This position requires at least a bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Computer Science, MIS or equivalent from an accredited institution. A copy of the degree must be submitted with the Candidate Proposal Response.
• 6 years’ experience with all facets of the software development process, including the research, design, programming, testing and implementation of computer software.
• 6 years’ experience with Java framework and technology: Spring Boot, Java EE (servlet, JPA … etc.).
• 6 years’ experience with relational database platforms and technology (e.g. Oracle SQL, PostgreSQL)
• 6 years’ experience in the design, implementation and deployment of Single Page Web Applications, preferably using Angular and Typescript.
• 6 years’ experience with SPA fundamental concepts such as component-based architecture, dynamic rendering, and asynchronous programming
• 6 years’ experience in REST API design and implementation with strong knowledge of API security, authentication, and authorization.
• 6 years’ experience with Git version control operations and branching strategies.
• Familiar with CICD pipeline and technology for automation.
