Synechron, a global consulting firm, seeks a skilled Java Developer to design, develop, test, and maintain scalable web applications. The role emphasizes backend with Java and Spring Boot and frontend with React.

The position is based in Newark, Delaware, offering a base salary of $90k–$100k per year with benefits and an in-person interview process. You will collaborate with product managers, designers, QA engineers, DevOps teams, and other developers to deliver robust solutions.

Qualifications

• Hands-on experience with Spring Boot, Spring MVC, Spring Security, and JPA/Hibernate.
• Experience designing and developing RESTful web services and microservices.
• Professional experience with React.js and modern JavaScript or TypeScript.
• Strong knowledge of HTML5, CSS3, JavaScript, and responsive web design.
• Experience with state-management libraries such as Redux, Context API, or similar tools.
• Understanding of object-oriented programming, design patterns, and software development principles.
• Experience with relational databases such as PostgreSQL, MySQL, Oracle, or SQL Server.
• Familiarity with Git and collaborative source-control workflows.
• Experience writing unit and integration tests using tools such as JUnit, Mockito, Jest, or React Testing Library.
• Strong problem-solving, communication, and teamwork skills.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain enterprise web applications using Java and React.
• Build scalable and secure backend services, RESTful APIs, and microservices.
• Develop responsive, user-friendly front-end applications using React, JavaScript, HTML, and CSS.
• Integrate React applications with Java-based backend systems and third-party services.
• Collaborate with product managers, designers, QA engineers, DevOps teams, and other developers.
• Write clean, maintainable, reusable, and well-documented code.
• Participate in requirements analysis, technical design, code reviews, and system testing.
• Troubleshoot, debug, and resolve application defects and production issues.
• Develop unit, integration, and automated tests.
