Job summary

ITSG Global is seeking a Senior Java Backend Developer to design, implement, and maintain backend services for an industrial IoT platform. You will build APIs, integrate with client systems and cloud services, and collaborate with a cross‑functional team to deliver robust live products.

The role requires 5+ years of backend experience, strong Java/Spring Boot expertise, Azure production experience, and a solid understanding of REST APIs, SQL/ PostgreSQL, and CI/CD.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of commercial experience developing backend services.
• Very good knowledge of Java and Spring Boot.
• Practical experience with Microsoft Azure in a production environment.
• Experience developing and maintaining production applications.
• Knowledge of REST API design and system integrations.
• Practical knowledge of SQL and relational databases, preferably PostgreSQL.
• Experience creating unit and integration tests (JUnit/Mockito).
• Knowledge of CI/CD processes and code reviews.
• Ability to diagnose problems based on logs and application behavior.
• Willingness to work with existing code and modernize it.
• Fluent English for team communication.

Responsibilities

We are currently looking for a Senior Java Backend Developer to join the team developing and maintaining an industrial IoT platform. This role is for someone who enjoys working with live products, creating new features, and solving technical problems in collaboration with other developers.

• Collaborate with the partner's team to learn about the platform and further develop it.
• Use AI tools to support programming and verify generated code.

• Knowledge of TypeScript and Node.js;
• Knowledge of Kotlin or willingness to learn the language;
• Experience with Kafka, Azure Event Hubs, or Azure Service Bus;
• Knowledge of Azure Data Explorer, Azure IoT Hub, or other Azure services related to IoT;
• Experience with Docker, Kubernetes, and GitLab CI;
• Knowledge of JPA/Hibernate and database migration tools, for example Flyway or Liquibase;
• Knowledge of monitoring tools, for example Application Insights or Grafana;
• Experience with Testcontainers, WireMock, or Cucumber;
• Knowledge of German

Условия:

Rate: PLN 150-180 net + VAT/hour. Option to work 100% remotely, in a hybrid model, or from the office in Warsaw.
