As a Java Developer supporting ICONMA in Palo Alto, CA, you will take full operational, tactical, and technical ownership of backend software development, distributed microservices architecture, event-driven streaming, and cloud deployment pipelines across mission-critical enterprise systems. Your day-to-day responsibilities include designing, developing, testing, and maintaining high-performance Java applications and RESTful APIs, integrating artificial intelligence and coding assistants (such as Claude and GitHub Copilot) to accelerate software delivery and code quality, architecting and managing event-driven data streaming pipelines utilizing Apache Kafka, provisioning and managing cloud-native infrastructure, containerization, and deployment automation on Amazon Web Services (AWS), collaborating closely with cross-functional software engineering, QA, DevOps, and product squads in Agile sprint cycles, conducting rigorous code reviews, unit testing, and performance optimization across distributed systems, preparing comprehensive technical documentation of system architectures, API specifications, and operational runbooks, and managing application requirements ensuring strict compliance with local candidate requirements in Palo Alto, CA and visa independence.
