Job summary

PURVIS Systems, a technology solutions partner, seeks a Software Developer to join a product development team building high-reliability software for air-gapped environments. You will design, test, and maintain Java/JavaFX tools and admin GUIs, with a path to web-based services while embracing initiative and direct technical ownership from design through verification.

Responsibilities include testing, simulation, packaging, and validation, plus supporting Kubernetes deployments and network/socket

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or Computer Engineering required.
• 3+ years of professional work experience required.
• Strong Java background with Spring, JUnit and JavaFX; Gradle build automation.

Responsibilities

• Design, maintain, and modernize Java/JavaFX tools and admin GUIs; support migration to web-based services.
• Maintain, operate, and extend internal software utilities for component testing and mission simulation.
• Build, containerize (Podman), validate software locally before release to edge Kubernetes (K3s) infrastructure.
• Diagnose host-level network sockets, OS behavior, and application issues within cybersecurity-hardened, STIG-compliant baselines.
