Job summary

Appsierra Group is seeking a Java Developer (AWS) to join a fast‑growing engineering team building cloud‑native microservices. The role is on‑site, contributing across design, development, and production support.

You will design and maintain Java Spring Boot microservices on AWS, implement REST APIs, containerize with Docker, and deploy on Kubernetes while writing tests and participating in Agile ceremonies.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in CS/Engineering or equivalent practical experience.
• 1 year or less of professional experience with Java and Spring Boot.
• Fundamental understanding of AWS services (EC2, S3, RDS, Lambda, etc.).
• Experience building and consuming REST APIs and using SQL.
• Basic knowledge of Docker and Kubernetes.

Responsibilities

Key responsibilities

• Write unit, integration, and automated tests to ensure code quality and reliability.

Nice to have

• Understanding of test‑driven development (TDD) and behavior‑driven development (BDD).
• Experience with monitoring tools like Prometheus, Grafana, or CloudWatch.
