Job summary

Compunnel, Inc. is seeking a Senior Full Stack Engineer/Developer with strong Cloud, Microservices and data engineering skills.

The role involves designing RESTful APIs in Java, working with microservices and event-driven architecture, and supporting modernization of legacy systems. The ideal candidate will have 5+ years of enterprise software experience, proficiency with Spring Boot / Dropwizard / Micronaut, and solid database knowledge.

Qualifications

Overview

Senior Full Stack Engineer/Developer with strong Cloud, Microservices and data engineering skills and could work across a wide range of tech stack.

Responsibilities

• Experience with designing and developing RESTful APIs using Java.
• Experience in Microservices and Event driven Architecture.
• Experience developing software utilizing relational databases (Oracle, Postgres).
• Experience with Test automation for unit, functional and non-functional testing.
• Ability to develop technical artifacts based on analysis of business and systems requirements.
• Ability to discover/document implementations from legacy systems, Oracle, Java, as part of re-platforming.
• Knowledge of current technologies and evolving trends.
• Ability to quickly learn new concepts and technologies.
• Detail oriented coupled with strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Strong organizational skills coupled with effective written and verbal communication skills.

Required Qualifications

• 5+ years of software development experience on business critical, enterprise-wide applications.
• Extensive experience with Service Oriented Architecture REST APIs using Spring Boot / Drop wizard / Micronaut.
• Proven track record working with event-driven microservice architecture.
• Proven experience working with relational databases such as Oracle and Postgres.
• Experience with re-platforming large applications.
• Expertise in designing, developing and maintaining high-volume transactional systems.
• Ability to debug through legacy systems and capture current state to aid with modernization.
• Experience with supporting Monolith legacy applications.
• Publishes clear, concise and thorough design documentation.

Preferred Qualifications

• AWS Cloud certifications and hands-on experience with services such as Amazon S3, Lambda, SNS, SQS, Event Bridge, Glue, and CloudFormation (CFN).
• Knowledge of end-to-end DevSecOps automation with CI/CD pipelines including Unit, Component and Functional test automation.
• Experience with Co-Pilot/Dev Assistant tools desirable.
• Experience with Agile and Scrum Methodologies.
