IO Datasphere, Inc. is seeking a Senior Java Developer to design and implement scalable backend services using Java, Spring Boot, Kafka, Redis, and Angular front-ends.

The role emphasizes high performance, code quality, and collaboration across teams in a fast-paced environment. The successful candidate will deliver RESTful APIs, implement unit tests with JUnit and Playwright, and participate in the full software development lifecycle, including design, testing, and deployment.

NOTE: Candidate MUST be a resident local to Madison or near the Madison office, or willing to relocate to Madison prior to starting the role at their own expense. Position is 100% remote from within the Madison area but must be available to come into the office if needed. Candidates MUST be available for both in-person interviews, even if out of State. Our client is looking for a highly skilled and experienced Senior Java Developer with strong hands‑on expertise in Java, Spring framework/Spring Boot, Messaging Queues, Caching and Angular to join client's dynamic team. The ideal candidate will develop, and maintain robust, scalable, and high-performance applications seamlessly integrating Java‑based backend systems with Angular‑based frontends.

Tasks

• Develop and maintain Java(8 to 21)-based backend applications, ensuring high performance and scalability.
• Unit test and code coverage using Junit.
• Good working experience using spring boot, messaging queues, caching and having good experience using Kafka, Redis and or equivalent tools.
• Develop and maintain Angular(21)-based front‑end user interfaces with a focus on responsiveness, usability, and ADA/WCAG compliance.
• Unit tests using PlayWright.
• Collaborate with cross‑functional teams, including business analysts, and APM/QA engineers, to gather and implement requirements.
• Create and maintain RESTful APIs for seamless integration between frontend and backend systems.
• Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues, ensuring system reliability and robustness.
• Stay up to date with industry trends, emerging technologies, and best practices in Java and Angular development.
• Have good experience doing code reviews and contribute to code quality and standards to ensure high‑quality product delivery.
• Participate in the full software development lifecycle, including requirements gathering, design, coding, testing, and deployment.
• Experience using AI(Prompts/Skills/MCP) to speed up development process.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Required:

• Experience developing wire frames and mock‑ups as a tool to communicate design concepts with stakeholders.
• Familiarity with cloud platforms like AWS, Azure, Google Cloud.
