Insight Global is seeking a Java-to-Spring Migration Engineer to transform legacy Java applications into modern Spring-based systems. You’ll improve developer productivity, reduce technical debt, and enable faster feature delivery while shaping the architectural foundation for the next decade of our products.

Lead end-to-end migrations, refactor to Spring architecture patterns, design phased rollouts with zero downtime, and collaborate with product owners, business analysts, and other engineers.

Qualifications

• Experience with Java and Spring ecosystems.
• Proficiency in Spring Boot and migration patterns.

Job Description

As our Java-to-Spring Migration Engineer, you’ll be the driving force behind transforming our legacy Java applications into modern, maintainable, and high-performing Spring-based systems. Your work will directly improve developer productivity, reduce technical debt, and enable us to deliver new features to customers faster than ever before. You won’t just be migrating code, you’ll be shaping the architectural foundation for the next decade of our products.

Work with other Software Engineers in the end-to-end migration of existing Java projects to Spring and Spring Boot, ensuring minimal disruption to business operations.

• Refactor legacy codebases to align with modern Spring architecture patterns.
• Design and implement migration strategies, including phased rollouts.
• Collaborate with product owners, business analysts, and other software engineering teams to ensure smooth deployments and zero-downtime transitions.
• Introduce best practices for Spring-based development, including configuration management, security, and performance tuning.
• Mentor team members on Spring frameworks, helping them adopt new patterns and tools effectively.
