Job summary

Intercontinental Exchange, Inc. in Atlanta seeks a Java Developer to join the technology team responsible for ICE Bonds platforms.

You will design, implement, and support scalable Java services across TMC, ICE Select and ETFHub clusters, collaborating with product managers, QA, and operations to deliver robust trading infrastructure. Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related field.
• 3+ years professional software development experience using Core Java.
• Strong understanding of data structures and algorithms.
• Solid understanding of object-oriented design and common design patterns.
• Expertise in Core Java multi-threading, collections, JVM, garbage collection.
• Experience with Spring framework, Spring Boot, REST, JPA, JMS Messaging and ActiveMQ.
• Scripting experience with Bash, Perl or Python.
• Strong communication and ability to interact with technical and non-technical customers.

Responsibilities

• Follow team guidelines for quality and consistency in design and development phases.
• Independently handle project activities related to builds and deployments.
• Create software tests and verify functionality and quality of the software.
• Provide production support for applications during and after business hours.
• Assist deployments during maintenance windows.

As a Java Developer, you will be part of a technology team responsible for the design, implementation and support of ICE Bonds platforms. The ideal candidate will be results-oriented, self-motivated and have the ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment. The candidate will get an opportunity to work on multiple ICE Bonds platforms like TMC, ICE Select and ETFHub etc. This role requires frequent interactions with project and product managers, developers, QA and other stakeholders, in order to ensure delivery of a world class trading platform to our users.

Responsibilities

• Follow team guidelines for quality and consistency within the design and development phases of the application(s)

• Provide support for production applications as issues arise during and after business hours.
• Provide support for deployments during maintenance windows.
• Identify opportunities to improve and optimize applications.
• Work with product management in understanding new requirements.

Knowledge and Experience

• Bachelor ‘s degree in Computer Science or related field
• 3+ years professional software development experience using Core Java
• Good understanding of data structures and algorithms
• Good understanding of object-oriented design and usage of commonly used design patterns
• Expertise in Core Java multi-threading, collections, JVM, Garbage collection
• Experience with Spring framework, Spring Boot, REST, JPA, JMS Messaging and ActiveMQ
• Bash, PERL, Python or any other scripting experience
• Good communication skills, including technical writing (comfortable talking to technical and non-technical customers)

Preferred Skills

• Experience in Financial Services or Fintech is preferred.
• Experience with FIX Protocol is preferred.
