Job summary

4M Research, Inc. in Huntsville, Alabama, is seeking multiple Software Engineers to join an Agile team developing mission-critical Java-based software for Global Command and Control (C2) missions, with emphasis on engagement planning and execution.

You will collaborate with systems, software, and test engineers to build robust, secure Java solutions in Linux, applying SAFe practices, DevSecOps/CI/CD, and Atlassian tools (Jira & Confluence) to deliver high-quality software.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in STEM with 1+ year of relevant software experience.
Strong OO software development with Java.
Experience in Linux environments and troubleshooting.
Solid understanding of algorithms and data structures.
Experience with Agile Scrum teams; SAFe experience preferred.
Atlassian tools (Jira/Confluence) and Git platforms.
DevSecOps, CI/CD practices, and secure software delivery.
Experience with C2 systems or mission-critical software.

Responsibilities

Design, develop, document, test, and debug Java applications for C2 missions.
Develop software supporting C2 engagement planning and execution.
Participate in Agile Scrum and SAFe teams across multiple baselines.
Develop and troubleshoot software in Linux environments.
Apply best practices for OO design, algorithms, and data structures.
Collaborate with systems and test engineers to translate requirements into designs.
