Job summary

Qualifications

• 5+ years backend development with Java/J2EE and hands-on Kotlin experience.
• Proven ability with Spring Boot and building RESTful APIs.
• Strong knowledge of JSON, web services, and data structures.
• Experience with distributed multi-tier systems and relational databases.
• Proven OO design experience and coding in multiple languages.
• Knowledge of code quality metrics and Git branching strategies.
• Familiarity with SQL and NoSQL databases (Oracle/DB2, Cassandra, Couchbase).
• Experience with automated testing: Selenium, REST Assured, Cucumber; CI/CD tooling (Jenkins, Nexus, Maven, Git).
• Agile lifecycle tools experience (JIRA/Rally).
• Awareness of cloud deployment in AWS/Azure/GCP and DevOps collaboration.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain high-performance backend services and APIs.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather requirements, architect solutions, and implement features that meet business needs.
• Optimize backend systems for performance, scalability, and reliability, ensuring smooth operation under high load.
• Implement best practices for code quality, testing, and deployment automation.
• Conduct code reviews, provide constructive feedback, and mentor junior engineers.
• Troubleshoot and debug production issues, perform root cause analysis, and implement preventive actions.
• Stay updated on emerging technologies and evaluate new tools and frameworks.
• Work with DevOps teams to deploy and manage backend services in cloud environments (AWS/Azure/GCP).
• Collaborate with frontend engineers to define API contracts and ensure seamless integration.
