Job summary

WEX is offering a 13-week paid Summer Internship Program across the U.S. You’ll work on impactful projects with mentorship and growth opportunities, designing scalable backend services in Java/Spring Boot and building mobile components.

Qualifications

• Pursuing a Master's degree in CS, Software Engineering, or related field.
• Strong proficiency in Data Structures and Algorithms (DSA) with hands-on experience in Java, Spring Boot, and PostgreSQL.
• Exposure to AWS cloud infrastructure and mobile application development concepts.
• Practical ability to leverage AI tools, explore modern AI trends, and construct functional AI agents for project workflows.
• Strong analytical problem-solving skills, adaptability, and a collaborative mindset.

Responsibilities

• Develop Full-Stack & Mobile Systems: apply data structures and algorithms to build scalable backend services with Java and Spring Boot, alongside mobile components.
• Database & Cloud Integration: design PostgreSQL schemas, optimize queries, and deploy resilient microservices on AWS.
• Construct Practical AI Solutions: leverage modern AI tools to build AI agents, automate workflows, and accelerate project delivery.
• Learn & Collaborate: partner with senior engineers to apply software design best practices, write thoroughly tested code, and ship features during the internship.
