Job summary

Artifintech is seeking an experienced Java Backend Engineer to design, develop, and maintain highly available microservices for healthcare data exchange. You will work with Java/JEE, Spring Boot, Node.js, RESTful APIs, Apache Kafka, and CI/CD, while applying security, DevOps, and IaC practices.

The role emphasizes designing scalable, secure backend systems, implementing event-driven architectures, and collaborating with cross-functional teams to ensure performance, security, and compliance

Qualifications

• Proven experience with Java/JEE and Spring Boot.
• Hands-on with Node.js and RESTful API development.
• Experience with Apache Kafka and event-driven architectures.
• Strong JSON data modeling, validation, and versioning.
• Experience building CI/CD pipelines and DevOps practices.
• Knowledge of application security: SAST/DAST and dependency scanning.
• Understanding of 12-Factor App principles and IaC concepts.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain backend microservices using Java/JEE, Spring Boot, and Node.js.

• Model and validate data using JSON while ensuring backward compatibility.

Key Responsibilities:

• Design, develop, and maintain backend microservices usingJava/JEE, Spring Boot, and Node.js.
• Develop secure, scalable, high-performance, and resilientRESTful APIs.
• Implement event-driven architectures usingApache Kafka, including producers, consumers, schema evolution, partitioning, and consumer groups.
• Work withJSONfor data modeling, validation, versioning, and backward compatibility.
• Build and maintainCI/CD pipelinescovering unit testing, integration testing, static analysis, and deployment automation.
• Integrate security controls such asSAST, DAST, dependency scanning, image scanning, and secrets management.
• Apply12-Factor Application Principles, Infrastructure as Code (IaC), and configuration management best practices.
• Collaborate with Product, Architecture, Security, and DevOps teams to deliver reliable backend solutions.
• Ensure application performance, security, availability, and compliance across healthcare integrations.
