Sony Interactive Entertainment is seeking a Software Engineer II, Java in Madison, WI to help build scalable backend services powering PlayStation Network. You will design, implement, and operate Java-based services, collaborating with product teams and security, to deliver reliable experiences across consoles, web, and mobile.

You will work with Spring Boot, RESTful APIs, databases, and cloud-native platforms on AWS, with CI/CD pipelines and automated testing.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or equivalent practical experience.
• Experience building backend services using Java and modern frameworks.
• Strong knowledge of RESTful APIs and backend design.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, test, and maintain backend services using Java and Spring Boot.
• Build and enhance APIs, microservices, and platform components.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams for commerce, identity, and content features.
• Write clean, secure, and well-tested code.
• Develop and maintain RESTful APIs and event-driven services.
• Contribute to CI/CD pipelines and deployment automation.
