Job summary

Wellnow Health Llc is seeking a Software Engineer to drive the full product development lifecycle, building well-designed, efficient, and testable server-side Java applications. You will work on new capabilities, re-architect parts of the system, and collaborate with a team on iterative development and reviews.

The role requires 1–3 years of software engineering experience, proficiency in Java, REST APIs, and both SQL and NoSQL databases.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in Software Engineering, Information Technology or related field.
1–3 years of experience in software engineering.
Experience developing server-side web applications in Java.
Experience developing Java Web Services with public API (e.g. REST, SOAP).
Experience with relational databases (MySQL, PostgreSQL) and NoSQL (MongoDB).
Proficient in object-oriented development.
Ability to adopt new technology quickly.
Knowledge of Java frameworks, architecture, and design patterns.
Good communication skills.

Responsibilities

Develop new capabilities and re-architect parts of an existing system.
Participate in test-driven, iterative development, prototyping, and reviews with a team of developers.
Design and code server-side Java back-end components.
Implement scalable and robust services.
Develop external and internal APIs.
Develop and run unit and performance tests to ensure scalability and reliability.
Review and debug code.
Produce documentation and diagrams explaining solutions.
Determine system specifications, standards, and programming for solutions.
