Job summary

CitiDirect Java Dev for Payments Modernization – Assistant Vice President role at Citi in New York. Design and build robust Java backend services, implement microservices with Spring, and work with Kafka, MongoDB, and Oracle to modernize CitiDirect payments.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of Java development experience with Core Java concepts.
• Experience with Spring Framework including Spring Boot and Spring Cloud.
• Proven ability to design microservices and RESTful APIs.
• Kafka event-driven architectures and schema design for NoSQL/SQL databases.
• SQL performance tuning with Oracle and NoSQL optimization for large-scale apps.
• JUnit/Mockito for unit and integration testing.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain scalable Java backend services.
• Implement microservices using Spring Framework 6, Spring Boot 3 and Spring Cloud.
• Work with Apache Kafka for event-driven architectures.
• Design schemas and optimize queries with MongoDB and Oracle.
• Create comprehensive unit and integration tests; improve development processes.
