Job summary

ActioNet is seeking a Mid Level API Developer to design, develop, test, and maintain RESTful APIs for advanced public data discovery and analytics applications. You will work across the full software lifecycle, leveraging Java, Spring Boot, and OpenSearch, while integrating AWS-based ETL and containerized microservices.

You will collaborate with cross-functional teams, participate in architecture reviews, and emphasize secure, scalable software delivery in an Agile/SAFe environment.

Qualifications

• 3+ years as a software engineer/backend developer.
• Strong RESTful API design, security, and documentation.
• Experience with Spring Boot, JAX-RS or Jersey.
• Proficiency in Java; familiarity with Python/JS/TypeScript.
• Experience with Oracle, MariaDB, PostgreSQL, Aurora; OpenSearch knowledge.
• Frontend familiarity with VueJS; Agile/Safe experience.

Responsibilities

• Develop, deploy, and maintain API-driven enterprise applications throughout the SDLC.
• Build and optimize applications using Java, databases, and search tools.
• Support cloud-native ETL processes with AWS services.
• Manage CI/CD pipelines and version control for rapid deployments.
• Follow SAFe Agile processes, participate in architecture reviews.
• Conduct tests and ensure security, reliability, and performance.
