Job summary

Avanciers Inc. is seeking a senior production support engineer for the PTR application in the U.S. This role covers L2/L3 operations, system health checks, and ad-hoc data extracts, with strong Java/Python foundations and cloud/container experience.

You will work on bug fixes, patches, and regulatory enhancements, while supporting audit requests and infrastructure needs in an enterprise environment.

Qualifications

• 8+ years in Java development with Python and Bash scripting.
• Spring and Spring Boot expertise.
• Hands-on Kubernetes experience.
• Experience with Apache Kafka messaging.
• Strong SQL skills in PostgreSQL and Oracle.
• Production support in enterprise environments.
• AWS Glue, S3, Lambda, EKS exposure.

Responsibilities

Responsibilities

L2 Support Scope

• System Triaging and Problem Management
• User Education & Support
• Daily/Periodic System Health Checks

L3 Support Scope

• Ad-hoc Report Generation & Data Extracts
• Application Bug Fixes & Patching
• Market / Regulatory Mandated Enhancements
• TLM-mandated upgrades & system changes
• FARM finding fixes (Vulnerability fixes, version/patch upgrades)
• AO Communications (Audit requests, Recertifications, Access requests)
• SRE & Infrastructure Support

Qualifications

Must-Have Qualifications

• Core Development: 8+ years applied experience with Java, along with Python and Bash scripting.
• Frameworks: Expertise in Spring and Spring Boot.
• Containers: Hands-on experience with container technologies like Kubernetes.
• Messaging: Experience with messaging infrastructure such as Apache Kafka.
• Databases & SQL: Proficient in Relational Databases (PostgreSQL / Oracle) with in-depth SQL knowledge.
• Production Support: Expert in maintaining and troubleshooting incidents in an enterprise production environment.
• Cloud (AWS): Hands-on exposure to AWS Glue, S3, Lambda, EKS, etc.
• Observability: Experience using Splunk for analyzing and troubleshooting logs.
• Testing: Exposure to regression testing, TDD methodologies (JUnit, Mockito, Cucumber).
• AI Tooling: Experience using GitHub Copilot for spec-driven development.
• Methodologies & Practices: Exposure to Agile methodologies, CI/CD pipelines, application resiliency, and security standards.
• Data Processing: Experience in Spark and Airflow jobs development and maintenance.

Good-to-Have / Best Fit Qualifications

• Data Engineering Background: Experience using Apache Spark.
• NoSQL Databases: Knowledge of NoSQL databases like DynamoDB.
