Job summary

InRhythm is seeking a senior software engineer in New York to design and implement large-scale, event-driven systems using Java Spring Boot. You will work with Kafka/RabbitMQ, AWS, and microservices, applying CQRS and Event Sourcing where appropriate.

You’ll lead architectural decisions, mentor peers, and collaborate with clients to deliver high-impact digital products. Join a culture that values innovation, ownership, and continuous learning, with a focus on building secure, scalable solutions

Qualifications

• 5+ years of software engineering with Java Spring Boot and cloud-native design.
• Proven experience architecting large-scale, event-driven systems with Kafka, RabbitMQ or similar.
• Strong experience with AWS and microservices architectures.
• Deep knowledge of CQRS and Event Sourcing in production environments.
• Experience implementing Zero Trust Architecture across app, API, and data layers.
• Hands-on Kubernetes experience and API gateway platforms (Kong, Apigee, etc.).
• Experience with Oracle or other enterprise relational databases.
• Ability to lead complex designs, mentor developers, influence architecture across domains.
• Strong consulting mindset with client-facing collaboration when needed.

What you are really good at:

• 5+ years of experience in software engineering with expertise in Java Spring Boot and cloud-native design
• Proven experience architecting large-scale, event-driven systems with Kafka, RabbitMQ, or similar technologies
• Strong experience with AWS
• Deep knowledge of Microservices, CQRS, and Event Sourcing in production environments
• Experience implementing Zero Trust Architecture across application, API, and data layers
• Hands-on experience with container orchestration using Kubernetes
• Strong command of API Gateway platforms such as Kong, Apigee, or similar
• Experience working with Oracle or other enterprise-grade relational databases
• Ability to lead complex system designs, mentor developers, and infl uence architecture across domains
• A strong consulting mindset—collaborative, outcome-driven, and client-facing when needed
