Job summary

System One in Lafayette, LA area is seeking a Senior AWS Java Full Stack Developer to build cloud native apps with AWS, Java, Spring Boot, Angular, and TypeScript. You will develop backend microservices, implement automated testing, and support CI/CD in a fast, AWS-heavy environment.

You will own development from requirements through deployment, collaborate with a small team, and leverage Terraform, IaC, and AI-assisted tooling to improve delivery and quality.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of professional software development experience with advanced Java skills.
• Strong backend development experience using Spring Boot, REST APIs, and microservices architecture.
• Hands-on full stack development experience with Angular and TypeScript.
• Proven experience developing, deploying, and supporting cloud-native applications on AWS.
• Solid Python development skills for automation, application development, or supporting services.
• Experience with Terraform and Infrastructure as Code (IaC).
• Knowledge of GitLab CI/CD, git workflows, and automated deployment practices.
• Experience with comprehensive testing (unit, integration, automated tests) and focusing on software quality.
• Understanding of application resiliency, performance monitoring, logging, and observability.
• Familiarity with AI assisted development tools, such as GitHub Copilot.
• Proven ability to work effectively in Agile/Scrum environments.
• Strong troubleshooting, problem-solving skills, and independent development drive.
• Ability to work within a small, high-velocity team, with individual ownership.
