Job Title

Java Architect at Tata Consultancy Services

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain Java applications using Spring and related technologies.
• Lead the development of Angular front‑end components, including grids, JSON handling, and RESTful services.
• Write clean, unit‑testable code and participate in code reviews.
• Provide level‑2/3 support, troubleshoot production issues, and implement performance tuning.
• Collaborate with business stakeholders to gather requirements, and with QA and Production Support to ensure smooth deployment.
• Mentor junior engineers and coach the team on Continuous Integration/Continuous Deployment (CI‑CD) practices.
• Refine user stories, estimate effort, and execute story refinement sessions.
• Develop automated test suites (integration, regression, performance) and automate manual release activities.
• Explore new ideas through proof‑of‑concepts or spikes to mitigate risk.

Qualifications

• 7+ years of development experience, with strong Java and Spring expertise.
• Proficient in Angular, HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and asynchronous design patterns.
• Experience with Oracle databases, SQL, and Linux operating systems.
• Knowledge of RESTful Web Services, XML, and JSON data interchange.
• Cloud exposure (e.g., AWS, Azure) is a plus, especially for Collibra integration.
• Familiarity with Agile development methodologies.
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field.
