Responsibilities include equipment prep, operation as directed by a Foreperson, routine maintenance, debris cleanup, and assisting crew. Leadership may be exercised when required; CDL/DOT may be needed for truck duties.

Qualifications

• Knowledgeable about daily maintenance and safe operation of all equipment
• Able to climb in/out of mobile equipment and maintain balance
• Capable of outdoor work in varying weather
• Able to hear verbal instructions from a distance
• Must be able to travel for storm restoration work when needed

Responsibilities

• Follow safety practices and rules and help enforce them
• Prepare equipment and materials for each day’s work
• Operate equipment as directed by Foreperson
• Maintain and repair equipment and tools
• Assist crew members and take a leadership role when required
• Clean up and dispose of debris and set up barriers and signs
• Report mileage to Foreperson and follow procedures
• Be part of storm restoration duties as needed
