Job summary

Lucas Tree Experts in West Jefferson, NC is hiring for a full-time Specialty Equipment Operator (Jarraff Operator). The role involves manual vegetation removal and safely operating forestry equipment, with full training provided on the job.

Ideal candidates will be mechanically inclined, willing to learn all aspects of the trade, and able to work 45 hours per week outdoors in varying weather conditions. CDL A or B preferred; licensing and certifications supported for career growth.

Qualifications

• CDL required.
• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Ability to lift 75 lbs and work outdoors in varying weather.
• Must be able to work 45 hours weekly.
• Willingness to learn to operate bucket truck and equipment safely.

Responsibilities

• Manually remove vegetation from work areas.
• Safely operate forestry equipment (woodchipper, hydraulic equipment, chainsaws).
• Perform line clearance, pruning, and removals.
• Operate equipment at varying heights up to 75 feet.
