Job summary

Lucas Tree Experts in West Jefferson, NC is seeking an Arborist/Foreman to join our outdoor crew. This is a full-time, year-round, physical labor role involving driving a bucket truck, leading a crew of 2–3, and performing tree removal, pruning, and related forestry tasks.

Qualifications include CDL A or B with Air Brake endorsement preferred, tree industry experience with a proven safety record, 18+ with HS diploma, and willingness to obtain additional licenses.

Qualifications

• CDL A or B with Air Brake endorsement preferred.
• Must have prior tree industry experience with a proven safety record.
• Must be 18 years of age with a High School Diploma/GED/or equivalent.
• Must be able to work outside in various types of weather.
• Must be physically able to perform the requirements of the position.
• Must be willing and able to learn how to operate a bucket up to 75 ft. and operate all equipment safely.
• Must be willing and able to learn how to climb trees using the proper tools of the trade.
• Must be willing and able to obtain, and maintain licenses & certifications as required by the position (paid by Lucas Tree Experts).
• Must have a clean safety record.
• Must be able to successfully complete a post offer physical & drug screen as well as a background and motor vehicle check.

Responsibilities

• Drive and operate a bucket truck up to 75 ft.
• Run a crew of 2 to 3 people.
• Manually remove vegetation from work areas.
• Operate forestry equipment and perform line clearance, pruning, and removals.

REQUIREMENTS
