Job summary

Lucas Tree Experts is seeking a Specialty Equipment Operator in Lexington, VA. The role involves operating forestry equipment such as Jarraff and other gear, performing line clearance, pruning, and removal tasks, and working outdoors year‑round.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years of experience with Jarraff.
• Current CDL license (must be willing to obtain and maintain CDL A or B).
• High school diploma, GED, or equivalent.
• Valid driver’s license with reliable transportation.
• Physical ability to walk on uneven terrain, carry up to 75 lbs., and work at heights up to 75 feet.
• Willingness to work 45 hours weekly and be physically demanding.
• Must be 18 years of age or older.
• Pass a physical & drug screen, background, and motor vehicle check.

Responsibilities

• Manual removal of vegetation from job sites.
• Safely operate various forestry equipment including brush hog mowers, brontosaurus mower, jarraff, woodchippers, hydraulic equipment, chainsaws, and bucket trucks.
• Perform line clearance, pruning, and removal tasks.
• Maintain a safety-first culture while working outdoors in variable weather.
