Vettedlance is seeking a part-time, remote transcriptionist to transform Japanese audio into precise, study-ready text. You will transcribe word-for-word and flag speaker notes, dialect cues, and unclear passages for quality assurance.

Requirements include native/professional Japanese with strong English for instructions, excellent listening across dialects, and meticulous accuracy. Prior transcription or language QA experience is a plus.

Turn spoken Japanese into clean, accurate text that speech AI can learn from. You will transcribe new recordings and correct machine-made drafts so every word, speaker and pause is right.

What you will do

• Transcribe Japanese audio (and video where needed) word for word using the project style guide
• Correct errors in machine-generated or earlier human transcripts
• Mark speakers, unclear passages, noise and unusable clips
• Add short notes on dialect, accent or context when asked

Pay: $20 - $35 / hour (USD). Paid weekly in USD. Typical rate $20-$35 per hour, confirmed after a short paid assessment.
