Job summary

GDI Integrated Facility Services in Northbrook, IL is seeking a on-site Janitorial Supervisor to oversee, train, and direct the janitorial staff, ensuring safety and that the customer's quality expectations are met.

You will participate in daily cleaning tasks, supervise shifts, and address customer concerns while maintaining high standards of cleanliness and integrity.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of janitorial supervisory experience preferred.
• Excellent attention to detail.
• Ability to show judgment and to work independently and lead the team.
• High integrity required.

Responsibilities

• Supervise and train the janitorial staff in the building.
• Designate shift and area work assignments.
• Manage employee relations or performance issues; document and report to management or HR.
• Inspect the jobsite regularly to identify quality concerns or required work.
• Identify and communicate need for special project work to management.
• Use floor cleaning equipment as needed (buffer, walk-behind, spot-carpet cleaner).
• Respond quickly and appropriately to customer concerns or complaints.
• Enforce safety policies and report accidents for investigation.
• Complete training courses as required.
• Clean restrooms, breakrooms, and common areas; dust and trash removal.
• Sweep, mop, and vacuum; perform advanced floor care as needed.

Summary

Oversee, train, and direct the janitorial staff on site to ensure that all employees are kept safe, and the customer’s quality expectations are met or exceeded. You will also be responsible for participating in daily cleaning tasks as required.

Working Schedule

Monday- Friday @8:00AM - 4:00PM

Responsibilities Include But Are Not Limited To

• Supervise and train the work of the janitorial staff in the building.
• Designate shift and area work assignments.

• Inspect the jobsite regularly to identify any quality concerns or project work needed.

• Use floor cleaning equipment as needed (i.e. buffer, walk behind, spot-carpet cleaner).
• Respond quickly and appropriately to all customer concerns or complaints.
• Enforce all safety policies and procedures; immediately report and investigate accidents.
• Complete training courses as required.
• Cleaning restrooms, breakrooms, common areas, dusting and trash removal.
• Sweeping, mopping and vacuuming.
• Advanced floor care work as needed.
