Job summary

Pro-Serv is seeking a Janitorial Supervisor and Quality Control specialist to train cleaners under supervision, inspect work, and fill in for absent staff. Lead teams to maintain hygienic facilities and uphold safety standards across sites, starting in Tempe with West Valley coverage.

Responsibilities include coordinating daily cleaning, mentoring staff, and ensuring compliance with safety regulations, while managing supplies and equipment. Hours vary with travel between accounts.

Qualifications

• Minimum custodial/industrial cleaning experience with focus on sanitation.
• Proven supervisory experience in commercial or hospitality settings.
• Strong leadership and communication skills.
• Knowledge of safety regulations for cleaning products and equipment.
• Ability to train staff and provide feedback.

• Provide work direction and coaching to staff under supervisor guidance.
• Serve as backup for absent personnel and cover shifts as needed.

Job Summary

At Pro-Serv the Janitorial Supervisor and Quality Control specialist is responsible for training general cleaners under the direction of the manager, inspecting their work while also meeting performance requirements. The Janitorial Supervisor fills in for absentee personnel, keeps premises of assigned facility clean and in orderly condition. Your leadership will directly impact the environment's hygiene, safety, and overall appearance, fostering a welcoming and healthy space for clients and staff alike. Key Responsibilities

• Monitor facility security/safety by ensuring doors are locked after operating hours
• Measure, label, and use chemicals following proper procedures and adhering to safety protocol
• Supervise and coordinate daily cleaning activities across multiple sites, ensuring all tasks meet quality standards and safety protocols.
• Lead, motivate, and manage cleaning staff, providing clear guidance, training, and performance feedback to foster a high-performing team.
• Conduct regular inspections to verify cleanliness, sanitation levels, and adherence to industrial cleaning procedures.
• Implement and monitor sanitation practices aligned with health regulations for commercial cleaning, hospitality environments, or industrial facilities.
• Enforce safety regulations during all cleaning operations to prevent accidents and promote a safe working environment.
• Manage inventory of cleaning supplies and equipment, ensuring proper usage and timely replenishment.
• Vacuum, sweep, mop floors following the Marsden Way TECH cleaning process
• Empty Trash
• High and low dusting
• Clean and service restrooms, breakrooms, and conference and kitchen areas
• Report maintenance issues of facility and/or equipment to supervisor
• Train assigned personnel on cleaning methods, procedures, and equipment
• Provide work direction to personnel under the guidance of, and directed by, the manager
• Perform routine inspections of work performed
• Serve as backup for absent personnel
• Teaching and Coaching others
• Hours vary and typically occur outside of normal business hours with early morning, evening, and overnight work. Some travel between accounts may be required.

Skills and Qualifications

• Knowledge of safety practices
• Proven experience in custodial or industrial cleaning environments with a strong focus on sanitation management.
• Demonstrated supervisory experience leading teams in commercial or hospitality settings.
• Knowledge of safety regulations related to cleaning products, equipment operation, and workplace safety standards.
• Strong leadership skills with the ability to manage staff effectively while maintaining high standards of cleanliness.
• Excellent managerial communication skills for training staff, coordinating tasks, and liaising with clients.
• Able to manage one’s time while leading others
• Ability to work with minimal supervision
• Communicate effectively for training and scheduling
• Ability to complete company train the trainer, SOP review and giving feedback training
• Knowledge of cleaning procedures and practices preferred
• Knowledge of commercial floor care and floor care products preferred
