Vonachen Group is seeking a 1st shift Janitorial Supervisor in Des Moines, IA. You will lead and supervise approximately 30 janitorial staff, ensuring high standards of service and safety.

Responsibilities include budgeting, communication with stakeholders, and performance coaching. The role offers full-time hours, a company laptop and cell phone, and a full benefits package including medical, dental, and 401(k).

Qualifications

• Must be 18+ and hold a valid driver's license with clean MVR.
• High school diploma or GED required; supervisory experience preferred.
• BSCAI Certified Site Supervisor (CSS) certification is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Direct and oversee the work of about 30 janitorial employees.
• Plan, organize, direct, coordinate, and manage assigned area functions.
• Establish and maintain effective communication with stakeholders.
• Control expenses within the area of responsibility.
• Maintain records and statistics for admin and regulatory purposes.
• Evaluate and justify supplies, equipment, and purchases.
• Develop and recommend the account operating budget.
• Provide feedback to management on customer requirements and opportunities.
• Demonstrate and promote company culture and values.

Vonachen Group is looking to hire a 1st shift Janitorial Supervisor in Des Moines, IA.

The Supervisor is responsible for the management of an assigned account, or multiple small accounts, and the supervisors assigned to these accounts. This person must be confident, well-spoken, committed to customer service and able to work with little supervision.

Job Requirements

  • Must be 18 years or older and a valid driver's license and clean MVR

• Education and Experience
  • High school diploma or GED
  • Experience providing janitorial services preferred
  • Experience in coaching, motivating, developing, and leading a team
  • Knowledge of human resource policies and practices
  • Acquisition of BSCAI- Certified Site Supervisor (CSS) certification
• Physical Requirements
  • Stand and walk for long periods of time
  • Frequent bending and twisting
  • Able to lift, push & pull 50lbs
  • Able to work flexible hours including evenings and weekends
  • Ability to work both indoors and outdoors
  • Ability to work in a warehouse environment

  • Mon-Fri 7am-3pm
