Job summary

Vonachen Group in Des Moines, IA is seeking a Janitorial Lead to supervise daily cleaning operations, mentor staff, and ensure adherence to quality and infection-control guidelines.

The role is full-time with a 2nd shift, Monday–Friday, offering $18/hour and full benefits including medical, dental, vision, life, 401(k), STD/LTD, and daily pay option.

Qualifications

• Must be 18 years or older and a valid driver's license with a clean MVR.
• Reliable transportation is required.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and work flexible hours.

Responsibilities

• Detail cleaning of corners, edges, door jambs, and hard-to-reach surfaces.
• Interact with employees regularly in the assigned area.
• Encourage, correct, and document employee performance as needed.
• Coordinate cleaning to meet customer demands and timelines.
• Train employees in specialized areas and maintain training records.

Vonachen Group is looking to hire a Janitorial Lead in Des Moines, IA.

The Lead is responsible for assuring assigned area is maintained and daily workload is completed by coordinating, assisting with, and monitoring the work of assigned staff, mentoring employees, and overseeing quality assurance activities. This person ensures work is completed in accordance with department and facility policies, procedures, and infection control guidelines.

Job responsibilities

• Detail cleaning e.g., corners and edges, door jambs and hard to reach surfaces
• Positively interacts with each employee in assigned area on a regular basis
• Encourages, redirects, corrects, and documents employee performance as appropriate
• Aids co-workers as appropriate to meet customer demands and appropriate timelines; coordinates cleaning of restricted access areas to perform necessary cleaning
• Trains employees into specialized areas and periodic assignments and documents training

Job requirements
