Job Summary:

The Janitorial Operations Manager will oversee the daily cleaning operations of the existing business, both operationally and financially, while maintaining customer relationships and developing new business where possible. This person will manage staff, ensure quality standards and safety compliance, and optimize operational efficiency to maintain a seamless workflow and deliver high-quality janitorial services.

Responsibilities

  1. Oversee the day-to-day operations of the cleaning service.
  2. Coordinate with supervisors and team leaders to ensure compliance with cleaning standards, safety regulations, and quality control.
  3. Manage inventory and supplies to ensure uninterrupted service delivery.
  4. Direct staff activities.
  5. Responsible for P&L activities.
  6. Manage operational policies, objectives, and initiatives to ensure cost-effectiveness.
  7. Establish operating policies to mitigate risk.
  8. Provide leadership to develop new customers and maintain existing customer base.
  9. Manage emergency response for all problems.
  10. Create estimates and workload for bids and new job sites.

Qualifications

  1. Bachelor’s Degree or comparable management experience.
  2. Minimum of ten (10) years industry experience.
  3. Ability to demonstrate expertise in the field's concepts, practices, and procedures.
  4. Must have working knowledge of MS Office Suite.
  5. Demonstrated ability to lead people and get results through others.
  6. Ability to perform short and long-range planning.
  7. Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
  8. Excellent project and program management skills.
  9. Ability to hold professional conversations with clients, subordinates, and colleagues.
  10. Ability to operate all basic office technology.
  11. Ability to conduct face-to-face discussions with individuals or groups at all professional levels.
  12. Ability to work in close proximity to others.
  13. Ability to work outdoors in all changing weather conditions in geographical area.
  14. Ability to stand, walk, sit, stoop, or kneel as required.
