Job summary

Compass Group USA’s ESFM division seeks a Unit Director to oversee cleanliness, sanitation, and security for assigned buildings. You will coordinate all janitorial activities, supervise supervisors and hourly staff, and ensure customer satisfaction while maintaining safety and equity.

You will assign duties, inspect work, handle complaints, and manage inventory and supplies. Strong communication with occupants and managers is essential to success.

Qualifications

• One to two years as supervisor in housekeeping or service-related field with high customer/client contact.
• Strong work ethic, initiative for quality and customer service.
• Excellent written and oral communication skills.
• Ability to engage and motivate staff and manage projects.

Responsibilities

• Communicates between shifts to ensure completion of tasks.
• Trains workers in janitorial methods and proper equipment use.
• Issues supplies and equipment to ensure timely service delivery.
• Performs daily inspections and follows up on assignments to ensure completion.
• Cross trains and develops personnel for multiple positions.
• Holds weekly staff reports and inspections.
