RHF (Retirement Housing Foundation) in Los Angeles, CA is seeking a dependable Janitorial / Floor Care Technician for Angelus Plaza, a senior residential community. You will maintain and clean a variety of floor surfaces, operate floor-care equipment, and perform general janitorial duties to keep spaces welcoming for residents and staff.

This full-time, non-exempt role offers competitive pay and a benefits package; early start times and some weekend coverage may apply.

Formación

• Prior floor-care, custodial, or janitorial experience preferred.
• Experience using commercial floor-care equipment.
• Familiarity with cleaning products, floor-care methods, and safe chemical handling.
• Ability to stand, walk, bend, kneel and reach during shift.
• Ability to lift and move supplies and equipment.
• Reliable, detail-oriented, and able to work independently or in a team.
• Basic communication skills and ability to follow instructions.
• Willingness to work mornings, evenings, weekends, and holidays.

Responsabilidades

• Clean and sanitize restrooms and replenish supplies.
• Clean interior windows, mirrors, and glass surfaces.
• Operate floor-care equipment such as buffers and extractors.
• Follow safety guidelines and wet-floor signage.

Pay Range: $19.00-$22.00 per hour

Are you dependable, detail-oriented, and experienced in janitorial work and floor care? RHF is seeking a Janitorial / Floor Care Technician at Angelus Plaza, a senior residential community with more than 1,000 units in downtown Los Angeles, California.

Floor care will be a primary responsibility of this position, including maintaining a variety of floor surfaces and operating commercial floor-care equipment. The role will also perform general janitorial duties and help maintain clean, safe, and welcoming spaces for our residents, staff, and visitors.

What You'll Do

• Maintain a variety of floor surfaces, including tile, vinyl, laminate, and carpet.
• Sweep, mop, scrub, buff, burnish, wax, and strip floors as needed.
• Vacuum, spot-clean, shampoo, and extract carpets.
• Perform general janitorial duties in hallways, offices, restrooms, kitchens, and common areas.
• Clean and sanitize restrooms and replenish supplies.
• Clean interior windows, mirrors, and glass surfaces.
• Collect and dispose of trash and maintain designated waste areas.
• Operate floor-care equipment, including buffers, burnishers, scrubbers, and carpet extractors.
• Follow proper cleaning chemical procedures, safety guidelines, and wet-floor signage requirements.
• Monitor cleaning supplies and notify the supervisor when inventory needs replenishing.
• Assist with setting up and breaking down furniture for community events.
• Perform deep cleaning and floor treatments as assigned.
• Communicate with the supervisor regarding cleaning needs, maintenance concerns, and completed tasks.

Qualifications

• Previous floor-care, custodial, or janitorial experience preferred.
• Experience using commercial floor-care equipment is highly desirable.
• Familiarity with cleaning products, floor-care methods, and safe chemical handling.
• Ability to stand, walk, bend, kneel, and reach throughout the workday.
• Ability to lift and move supplies and equipment as required.
• Reliable, detail-oriented, and able to work independently and as part of a team.
• Basic communication skills and the ability to follow instructions.
• Flexibility to work mornings, evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed.
