Janitorial/Facilities Assistant Site Supervisor in Manassas, VA at PRWT Services

SUMMARY: Reporting to the Site Supervisor, responsible for supervising all site personnel and assisting with daily cleaning and maintenance of rest area facilities and grounds.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Supervise, manage, and direct Rest Area Attendants, Lead Attendants, and subcontractors, primarily when the Site Supervisor/Area Manager is unavailable or as directed.
- Assist in training site staff.
- Act as Supervisor in the absence of the Site Supervisor or as directed by management, including being scheduled as Site Supervisor during off-shifts or weekends.
- Assist in creating and maintaining employee work schedules.
- Serve as secondary emergency site contact.
- As Assistant Site Supervisor:
- Work to improve the site and coach staff to perform at their best.
- Perform duties of Attendant or Supervisor as needed.
- Seek assistance from the Site Supervisor proactively when necessary.
- Conduct regular inspections of restrooms and common areas for sanitation, cleanliness, safety, and equipment issues.
- Maintain restrooms, grounds, picnic areas, parking lots, and pet rest areas through cleaning and minor maintenance tasks.
- Perform cleaning activities such as wiping, mopping, sweeping, sanitizing, vacuuming, dusting, litter removal, and trash cleanup.
- Identify maintenance needs and coordinate repairs or replacements.
- Greet customers and address questions or concerns.
- Report hazards and assist in corrective actions.
- Promote teamwork, safety, and a positive work environment.
- Maintain documentation, such as work orders, logs, and reports, using basic computer programs like Word, Excel, and Adobe.
Additional Responsibilities:
- Promote safety to prevent accidents and injuries.
- Lead by example with a professional work ethic.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Education/Experience:
- High School Diploma or equivalent preferred.
- Knowledge of OSHA standards.
Requirements:
- Ability to work independently and lead others.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office.
- Knowledge of building maintenance and repair methods.
- Ability to multitask efficiently.
