Janitorial/Facilities Assistant Site Supervisor in Winchester, VA at PRWT Services

SUMMARY: Reporting to the Site Supervisor, responsible for supervising all site personnel and assisting with daily cleaning and maintenance of rest area facilities and grounds.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Supervise, manage, and direct Rest Area Attendants, Lead Attendants, and subcontractors, primarily when the Site Supervisor/Area Manager is unavailable or as directed.
- Assist in training site staff.
- Act as Supervisor in the absence of the Site Supervisor or as directed, including being scheduled as Site Supervisor during off-shifts or weekends.
- Assist with creating and maintaining employee work schedules.
- Serve as secondary emergency site contact for the client.
- As Assistant Site Supervisor:
- Work to improve the site and coach staff for optimal performance.
- Perform duties of Attendant or Supervisor as needed.
- Seek assistance from the Site Supervisor proactively.
- Conduct regular inspections of restrooms and common areas for sanitation, cleanliness, safety, and equipment issues.
- Clean and maintain restrooms, grounds, picnic areas, parking lots, and pet rest areas, including activities like wiping, mopping, sweeping, sanitizing, vacuuming, dusting, litter removal, and trash cleanup.
- Perform minor maintenance tasks such as changing light bulbs or filters.
- Identify and address maintenance, repair, or replacement needs.
- Greet customers and assist with questions or concerns.
- Report hazardous environments and assist in correcting issues.
- Foster a teamwork environment encouraging collaboration and problem-solving.
- Ensure a safe working environment.
- Create, open, and update work orders using Insight as needed.
- Complete daily documentation and administrative tasks like repair logs and preventive maintenance logs.
- Navigate basic computer programs such as Word, Excel, and Adobe.

Education/Experience:
- High School Diploma or equivalent preferred.
- Knowledge of OSHA standards.
