Responsibilities

• Common Area Maintenance — maintain lobbies, corridors, waiting areas and other public spaces.
• Restroom Servicing — restock supplies, wipe surfaces and maintain cleanliness.
• Waste Collection — empty trash, replace liners and transport waste.
• Surface Sanitization — clean and sanitize high-touch surfaces.
• Breakroom Upkeep — keep breakrooms clean and stocked.
• Glass and Entryway Care — spot-clean interior/exterior glass and doors.
• Exterior Entry Maintenance — keep outdoor entry points debris-free and safe.
• Other responsibilities as assigned.

Position Overview:

The Dayporter is responsible for maintaining a clean, orderly, and safe environment throughout the facility during operating hours. This position provides continuous upkeep of high-traffic areas, ensures restrooms and common spaces remain presentable, and responds promptly to cleaning needs as they arise. The Dayporter supports the overall appearance and functionality of the building and represents the facility with professionalism and courtesy.

What the job looks like:

• Common Area Maintenance — Maintain lobbies, corridors, waiting areas, and other public spaces to ensure a clean and welcoming environment.
• Restroom Servicing — Refresh restrooms throughout the day by restocking supplies, wiping surfaces, and addressing cleanliness needs between scheduled deep cleans.
• Waste Collection — Empty trash receptacles, replace liners, and transport waste to designated disposal areas.
• Surface Sanitization — Clean and sanitize high-touch surfaces such as door handles, counters, and tables.
• Breakroom Upkeep — Maintain cleanliness in employee breakrooms, including wiping tables, restocking paper goods, and managing minor messes.
• Glass and Entryway Care — Spot-clean interior and exterior glass, entrance doors, and partition windows.
• Exterior Entry Maintenance — Keep outdoor entry points free of debris and ensure walkways remain clean and safe.
• Other responsibilities as assigned.

Physical Requirements

• Ability to stand, walk, bend, stoop, and reach throughout the workday
• Ability to lift and carry cleaning supplies and equipment (25-50 lbs)
• Ability to perform repetitive cleaning tasks
• Ability to safely operate standard cleaning equipment
