ServiceMaster Residential Co is seeking a Hands-On Working Manager to supervise cleaning teams, coordinate shifts, and train staff to meet ServiceMaster standards across Austin. The role combines hands-on cleaning with people management to ensure consistent, high-quality service.

Qualifications

• Seven years’ experience as a custodian or janitor.
• At least five years of supervisor experience.
• Ability to communicate in English (bilingual is a plus).
• Experience with professional janitorial services in offices, facilities, hotels, hospitals, or schools is a plus.

Responsabilités

• Train cleaners on ServiceMaster's standards, products, processes and procedures.
• Travel to different areas (Austin) to conduct facility inspections.

Job Position Description

Supervisor responsibilities include working with the cleaners, organizing employee shifts, training and motivating team members. This position plays a critical role in ensuring all staff stays on task and complete all assignments to ServiceMaster standards. To be successful in this role, you should have a good understanding of cleaning principles and team management abilities. The person selected in this position will oversee Austin.

Responsibilities

Hands-On Working Manager Position

• Training cleaners on ServiceMaster's standards, products, processes and procedures
• Travel to different areas in Austin to conduct on Facility Inspections and fill in during call-offs or vacancies.
• Clean assigned buildings by sweeping, mopping, scrubbing, or vacuuming them. Gather and empty trash. Service, clean, and supply restrooms. Clean and polish furniture
• Oversees staff performance and ensures all assignments are completed in accordance to set task schedule
• Assist in hiring and staffing assigned Area
• Train cleaners on task schedules specific to individual accounts
• Perform inspections and give constructive performance feedback to staff members
• Assign shifts and make necessary adjustment in case of call off or no shows
• Respond to customer complaints and request in a timely and caring manner
• Ensure compliance with safety and OSHA regulations
• Use proper PPE where required
• Opens and locks facilities, enable and disable security system as required.
• 7 years' experience as a custodian, janitor, housekeeper
• 5 years' supervisor experience
• Will provide on the job training to those with strong work ethic and willingness to learn.
• Experience working for a professional janitorial company, office complex, hotel, hospital or school is a plus.
• The ability to be flexible, work at a fast-paced and in a multi-tasked job is a must.
• Contribute to a positive work climate with a pleasant attitude and contribute to the overall team effort including being in uniform, dependable and on time
• Has respect and understanding for co-workers and customers
• Must be able to communicate in English. Bilingual is a plus

Physical Demands and Qualifications

• Constant (up to 100%) standing, walking, pushing, balancing, stooping, kneeling, crouching, twisting, reaching over head, reaching forward. Must be able to lift and and/or carry 25lbs.
