Job summary

Diversified Maintenance is seeking an Area Manager to supervise janitorial staff across assigned sites, ensuring consistent quality service and on-time delivery within the budget. You will lead scheduling, training, and performance reviews while maintaining strong client relationships.

The ideal candidate will have a high school diploma, 2+ years of management experience in service industries, strong English communication, and proven leadership and problem-solving skills.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Minimum of two years of management experience in a service-related industry.
• Business level English communication, reading and writing.
• Ability to multitask and adapt to changing environments.
• Excellent customer service and active listening skills.
• Ability to lead, encourage teamwork, negotiate and resolve conflict.

Responsibilities

• Select and place janitorial personnel; hiring decisions and performance appraisals.
• Understand and champion the company values and people culture.
• Assign duties, inspect work for cleanliness, and review quality.
• Determine procedures and schedules within labor budgets.
• Conduct new hire orientation and safety training for hourly staff.
• Prepare time sheets, reports, and equipment orders.
• Communicate with employees to resolve issues and empower success.
• Visit accounts to maintain relationships and service quality.
• Resolve customer problems and ensure satisfaction promptly.
• Document contacts and follow through on issues; delegate tasks as needed.
• Monitor accounts for new work opportunities and add-ons.
• Ensure QC site visits are completed and recorded.
• Spend time at accounts to support outcomes and customer needs.
