Job summary

Economy Cash & Carry Inc. is hiring for a Full Time cleaning associate at our Zaragoza/El Paso store. The role involves cleaning, sanitizing, and maintaining both store and warehouse areas, with a focus on safety and efficiency.

The position runs day shifts, Monday through Friday, with additional weekend hours as needed. Bilingual abilities are preferred, and candidates should be able to work independently and communicate effectively with staff at all levels.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED, or 6 months related experience and/or training, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Bilingual preferred.
• Ability to handle heavy equipment and machinery.
• Knowledge of cleaning chemicals and supplies.
• Integrity and ability to work independently.
• Excellent customer service skills.
• Ability to effectively communicate with people at all levels and from various backgrounds.
• Ability to work a flexible schedule.

Responsibilities

• Performs general cleaning, disinfecting, and sanitizing tasks and services throughout assigned facility to include restrooms, breakrooms, offices, and conference rooms.
• Cleans windows and mirrors throughout the facility.
• Clean, disinfect, sanitize, and supply designated building areas (dusting, sweeping, vacuuming, mopping, cleaning high/low areas).
• Empties and decontaminates trash containers.
• Wipes down and sanitizes surfaces throughout the facility.
• Maintains facility floors clean of all debris using Tennant machine and cleaning tools.
• Keeps environmental closet organized and stores all supplies and tools accordingly.
• Notifies supervisor/manager of any safety hazards.
• Documents routine inspection and maintenance activities.
• Follows instructions from the environmental supervisor.
• Performs other related duties as assigned by management.
• Maintains warehouse floors clean of debris and operates Tennant machine.

Duties and Responsibilities:

• Performs general cleaning, disinfecting, and sanitizing tasks and services throughout assigned facility to include but not limited to restrooms, breakrooms, offices, and conference rooms.

• Documents routine inspection and maintenance activities.

Duties and Responsibilities for Warehouse:

• Maintains warehouse floors clean of all debris, including shrink wrap and wood chips in the following areas: 9 or more aisles, receiving docks, and freezer/cooler floors.
• Utilizes Tennant machine to clean warehouse floors.
• Manually (use of pallet jack) moves pallets to clean floors.
• Clean, disinfect, sanitize, and supply designated building areas (dusting, sweeping, vacuuming, mopping, cleaning high/low areas).
• Maintains outside areas clean of all debris to include front and backyard.
• Maintains clean rack beams.
• Performs other related duties as assigned by management.
