Job summary

TRDI is seeking a full-time janitor for the Sarita location with custodial experience and knowledge of floor care and cleaning chemicals. The role requires the ability to obtain and maintain security clearance and a valid driver’s license. Salary is $18.28 per hour, schedule varies, and travel is minimal. High school diploma or better is required.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Clean buildings, offices and facilities as assigned.
• Clean bathrooms, offices, hallways, locker rooms, break rooms and other areas by sweeping, mopping, scrubbing and polishing.
• Empty and decontaminate trash containers.
• Mix cleaning solutions to proper concentrations as needed.
• Wash blinds, windows, screens, sills and walls with prescribed solutions.
• Sweep sidewalks and surfaces; dust furniture and equipment.
• Replace light bulbs and assist with basic maintenance tasks as directed.

• The Janitor under immediate supervision is assigned to a shift and will clean and provide supplies for buildings, offices and facilities as needed.
• Cleans bathrooms, offices, hallways, locker rooms, break rooms, shower rooms, holding cells, surfaces and other assigned areas by sweeping, mopping, scrubbing and polishing.
• Empties and decontaminates trash containers.
• Mixes or blends routine cleaning solutions to proper concentrations as necessary for various tasks.

• Sweeps sidewalks, porches and tiled surfaces.
• Dusts furniture and equipment.
• Replaces light bulbs, picks up trash and paper around buildings.
• Must be able to climb a step ladder, use floor burnisher, and communicate effectively with customer.
• Performs other duties as directed by Project Manager.
