Job description

We are hiring immediately for part-time JANITOR positions.

Location: Westfield Washington Schools - 345 West Hoover Street, Westfield, IN 46074. (Openings at other locations within the school district are available). Note: Online applications accepted only.

Schedule: Part-time, with shifts on Saturday and Sunday. Hours may vary; more details provided upon interview.

Requirement: Willing to train!

Pay Rate: $16.37 per hour.

Job Summary

Keeps buildings clean and orderly by performing heavy cleaning duties, including cleaning floors, shampooing rugs, washing walls and glass, and removing rubbish.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

• Collect and dispose of trash following approved procedures and infection control plans.
• Dust and damp mop floors following approved procedures.
• Move equipment and furniture for proper cleaning and return furniture to its correct placement.
• Clean assigned areas using designated materials and equipment, sanitize all surfaces, and follow the eight-step cleaning procedure.
• Wash walls, windows, furniture, baseboards, and other items to maintain a clean, safe environment.
• Identify areas requiring cleaning and take initiative to complete tasks.
• Complete all tasks assigned by supervisor.
• Perform tasks in accordance with all federal, state, and county guidelines.
• Strip, scrub, buff, and refinish floors; shampoo carpets.
• Contribute to the team and exhibit professionalism with customers, colleagues, and others.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
