Tessera in Bremerton, WA is seeking a dedicated Janitor to join our Home Office team. This part-time, non-exempt role focuses on maintaining a clean, healthy, and professional work environment across restrooms, kitchens, offices, and common areas.

Responsibilities include cleaning, sanitizing, restocking supplies, and cooperating with staff to meet scheduling needs. The ideal candidate is reliable, self-motivated, and capable of lifting up to 50 pounds as required.

Responsibilities

• Clean and sanitize restrooms, including toilets, urinals, sinks, showers, fixtures, partitions, walls, and doors; restock supplies; collect trash and replace liners; sweep and mop floors.
• Clean kitchen areas, including refrigerators, countertops, stoves, ovens, microwaves; clean interior and exterior surfaces.
• Clean office areas by sweeping, mopping, and vacuuming.
• Clean hallways and high-traffic areas; maintain cleanliness of entrances/exits.
• Clean all floors and carpeted surfaces, including stairwells; maintain janitor closet.
• Wipe down interior building baseboards; empty trash daily; dispose of recycling materials.
• Interact professionally with employees, visitors, and customers; work independently or as part of a team.
• Ability to lift, carry, push, and pull up to 50 pounds.

As a Janitor, you'll ... Tessera Janitors play a critical role in preserving the appearance, cleanliness, and functionality of Tessera's Home Office headquarters. This position is ideal for an individual who takes pride in their work, demonstrates personal accountability, and treats the building as their own. Through consistent, high-quality cleaning and maintenance, the Janitor supports a healthy, organized, and professional work environment .

• Clean and sanitize restrooms, including toilets, urinals, sinks, showers, fixtures, partitions, walls, and doors; restock supplies; collect trash and replace liners; sweep and mop floors in accordance with cross contamination procedures
• Clean kitchen areas, including wiping down the interior and exterior of refrigerators, countertops, the interior and exterior of stoves and ovens, and the interior and exterior of microwaves, according to established schedules.
• Clean office areas by sweeping, mopping, and vacuuming according to established schedules.
• Clean hallways and high traffic areas by sweeping, mopping, and vacuuming according to schedule.
• Maintain cleanliness of building entrances and exits by sweeping, mopping, and vacuuming according to schedule.
• Clean all floors and carpeted surfaces, including stairwells, by sweeping, mopping, and wiping handrails according to schedule.
• Maintain janitor closet by cleaning, organizing, and ensuring all equipment is cleaned and properly stored.
• Wipe down interior building baseboards according to schedule.
• Empty office trash daily and dispose of waste in designated dumpsters; collect and dispose of recycling materials in designated recycling dumpsters according to schedule.
• Interact professionally and courteously with employees, visitors, and customers
• Work independently with minimal supervision and collaboratively as part of a team.
• M ust be able to lift, carry, push, and pull up to 50 pounds .
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Summary of desired skills and experience for the Tessera Janitor:

• High School Diploma or GED is required .
• 6+ months of previous Janitorial or Custodian experience is preferred.
• Must be able to communicate clearly and professionally with others.
• Ability to respond to requests or concerns in a courteous and professional manner.
• Ability to follow verbal and written instructions and work independently and as part of a team.
• A valid state's driver's license is preferred with the ability to obtain and maintain coverage by Tessera's insurance.
