Overview

SAYCARE LLC is seeking a dedicated and reliable Janitor to join our Environmental Services team. The Janitor will be responsible for maintaining cleanliness and sanitation throughout our healthcare facility, ensuring a safe and welcoming environment for patients, visitors, and staff. The ideal candidate will have strong attention to detail, excellent time management skills, and a commitment to upholding the highest standards of cleanliness in a healthcare setting.

Responsibilities
  • Clean and sanitize patient rooms, hallways, restrooms, waiting areas, and offices to maintain a clean and safe environment.
  • Ensure the proper disposal of waste, including biohazard and medical waste, following facility protocols.
  • Perform floor care tasks, including sweeping, mopping, and vacuuming.
  • Dust and clean furniture, fixtures, and equipment regularly.
  • Replenish supplies, such as toilet paper, soap, and paper towels, in designated areas.
  • Ensure all cleaning equipment is properly maintained and stored.
  • Follow infection control and safety protocols to reduce the spread of germs and ensure the safety of all individuals within the facility.
  • Report any maintenance issues, safety hazards, or facility concerns to the appropriate supervisor.
  • Assist with special cleaning projects as assigned by the Environmental Services Manager.
  • Provide excellent customer service and maintain a professional and positive attitude when interacting with patients, staff, and visitors.
Qualifications
  • Previous experience in cleaning or janitorial work, preferably in a healthcare or medical environment, is a plus.
  • Knowledge of cleaning chemicals, equipment, and cleaning techniques.
  • Ability to follow instructions and safety procedures.
  • Strong attention to detail and a high standard of cleanliness.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Good communication skills and a friendly demeanor.
  • Must be able to stand, bend, and lift up to 30 pounds.
  • High school diploma or equivalent (preferred).
  • Certification in infection control or OSHA safety training (preferred but not required).
  • Experience with floor care equipment and techniques (preferred).
  • Level 2 Background Check.
Work Conditions
  • Work hours may include nights, weekends, and holidays, based on facility needs.
  • Must be able to work in a hospital or clinical environment, including exposure to cleaning chemicals and potentially hazardous materials.
  • This position may require extended periods of standing, walking, and physical labor.
