This position provides a wide variety of cleaning services and other related duties required to keep the facilities in a clean and orderly condition.

Responsibilities

1. Clean, sweep, mop, vacuum, sanitize and/or restock hallways, stairways, offices, food preparation or break areas, offsite areas, restrooms, public areas or other work areas as assigned.
2. Dust both low and high areas, and wipe down or clean various surfaces.
3. Remove and transport trash to appropriate disposal areas.
4. Use appropriate equipment and cleaning solutions for all tasks.
5. Maintain a clean and orderly cart and storage areas.
6. May assist in laundry and/or linen removal and cleaning rooms.
7. May be training in laundry and housekeeping and required to work those positions.
8. Replenish guest supplies and amenities as required.
9. May scrub, strip, extract, wax and buff all types of floors using appropriate equipment.
10. May change light bulbs and perform light facility maintenance.
11. Has ability to recognize and use proper PPE for the job task.
12. Adhere to all safety policies, requirements and training.
13. Report any material discrepancies, damage and/or theft to the manager or maintenance department.
14. Other duties that are pertinent to the department or unit's success also may be assigned.

Qualifications

1. High school diploma or GED equivalent.
2. At least 6 months experience that demonstrates a working knowledge of cleaning equipment and general cleaning processes.
3. The ability to work rotating shifts, weekends, callouts, etc.
4. Must be fluent in speaking, reading, and writing English.
