We are hiring immediately for a full-time Janitor position at SSC Services for Education.

Location

New Braunfels ISD - 1000 North Walnut, New Braunfels, TX 78130. Note: online applications accepted only.

Job Summary

Summary: Keeps buildings clean and orderly by performing heavy cleaning duties such as floor cleaning, rug shampooing, wall and glass washing, and rubbish removal.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

• Collect and dispose of trash following approved procedures and infection control plans.
• Dust and damp mop floors following approved procedures.
• Move equipment and furniture for cleaning; restore furniture to proper placement.
• Clean assigned areas using appropriate materials and equipment; sanitize all surfaces; follow the eight-step cleaning procedure.
• Wash walls, windows, furniture, baseboards, and other items to maintain a clean environment.
• Identify areas needing cleaning and take initiative to complete tasks.
• Complete all tasks assigned by supervisor.
• Perform duties in compliance with federal, state, and local guidelines.
• Strip, scrub, buff, and refinish floors; shampoo carpets.
• Work as part of a team, exhibiting professionalism with customers and colleagues.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
