Job Description: Janitor

We are hiring immediately for full-time Janitor positions at SSC.

Location

Westfield Washington Schools - 18250 North Union Street, Westfield, IN 46074. Other locations within the school district are also available. Note: online applications accepted only.

Schedule

Full-time schedule with varying days, typically 3:30 pm to 12:00 am. More details provided during the interview. Flexible options for full and part-time roles to meet most scheduling needs.

Job Summary

Maintain cleanliness and orderliness of buildings by performing heavy cleaning duties such as floor cleaning, rug shampooing, wall and glass washing, and rubbish removal.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

• Collect and dispose of trash according to procedures and infection control plans.
• Dust and damp mop floors following approved procedures.
• Move equipment and furniture for cleaning and restore after cleaning.
• Clean assigned areas using appropriate materials and equipment; sanitize surfaces; follow the eight-step cleaning process.
• Wash walls, windows, furniture, baseboards, and other items to maintain a safe environment.
• Identify areas needing cleaning and complete tasks proactively.
• Complete all assigned tasks as directed by supervisors.
• Perform duties in compliance with federal, state, and county guidelines.
• Strip, scrub, buff, and refinish floors; shampoo carpets.
• Contribute to team efforts and maintain professionalism.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
