Job Details

• We have an opening for full-time JANITOR positions.
• Location: GM Lansing Delta TWP - 8175 Millet Highway, Lansing, MI 48917. Note: online applications accepted only.
• Schedule: Full-time; Monday through Friday, weekend availability preferred. Shifts: 2:00 pm to 10:30 pm and 10:00 pm to 6:30 am. More details upon interview.
• Requirement: Prior janitorial experience preferred.
• Pay Range: $17.65 - $17.99 per hour.

Job Summary

Keeps buildings clean and orderly by performing heavy cleaning duties, including cleaning floors, shampooing rugs, washing walls and glass, and removing rubbish.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

• Collect and dispose of trash following approved procedures and infection control plans.
• Dust and damp mop floors following procedures.
• Move equipment and furniture for cleaning, then return to proper placement.
• Clean assigned areas with appropriate materials and equipment; sanitize all surfaces following the eight-step cleaning procedure.
• Wash walls, windows, furniture, baseboards, and other items to maintain a clean environment.
• Identify areas needing cleaning and complete tasks proactively.
• Follow all federal, state, and local guidelines.
• Strip, scrub, buff, and refinish floors; shampoo carpets.
• Contribute to team efforts, exhibiting professionalism.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
