We have an opening for a full-time JANITOR position.

Location: 3415 Northridge Drive Northwest, Walker, MI 49544. Note: online applications accepted only.

Schedule: Full-time schedule. Days and hours may vary; night shift. More details upon interview.

Requirement: 1 year of previous janitorial experience is preferred, but not required.

Pay Rate: $16.00 per hour.

Job Summary

Keeps buildings clean and orderly by performing heavy cleaning duties such as cleaning floors, shampooing rugs, washing walls and glass, and removing rubbish.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

• Collect and dispose of trash following approved procedures and infection control plans.
• Dust and damp mop floors following approved procedures.
• Move equipment and furniture for proper cleaning and return furniture to correct placement.
• Clean assigned areas using appropriate materials and equipment, sanitize all surfaces, and follow the eight-step cleaning procedure.
• Wash walls, windows, furniture, baseboards, and other items to maintain a clean, safe environment.
• Identify areas requiring cleaning and take initiative to complete tasks.
• Complete all tasks assigned by supervisor.
• Perform tasks in accordance with all federal, state, and county guidelines.
• Strip, scrub, buff, and refinish floors; shampoo carpets.
• Contribute to the team and exhibit professionalism with customers, colleagues, and others.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
